Why I Decided to Refresh my Personal Brand
Last year, I attended a local event that was geared for female entrepreneurs like myself called ‘Ms. Boss’. I had signed up right away, as it sounded right up my alley. Local lady bosses connecting and supporting each other’s businesses. It was great.
I met Bonnie that evening; she was the organizer. I liked her style, I liked the style of the event and I liked her. Bonnie was new to town, and had just started up her marketing agency, Brand and Banter Inc. We agreed to get together for a meeting to see how her company could benefit my real estate business.
My assistant and I had brainstormed ideas and wanted to update my branding for some time, but we didn’t know where to go or what to do. All we knew was we wanted something spectacular.
The first meeting was a game changer. Her agency was exactly what we were looking for. Talented, modern and professional. Within no time, there was a proposal drawn up, contract signed and we were working together as team.
Throughout the process I learned a lot. The more we dug into what drives me to succeed, what the business and the clients mean to me and what the real estate industry is like as a whole, the more I learned about myself.
I am a boss. I run my business like a boss. My brand matters. As the concept evolved, we really dialed in how to best represent my values and work ethic to the public, and how best to represent the services clients can expect every time they work with me or refer me to their friends or family. It was exciting, stressful and invigorating all at the same time.
I have worked so incredibly hard to get where I am today, and I will continue to work hard day in and day out. My business is successful. I am experienced. It feels so rewarding to know my clients are truly taken care of. They know they can always rely on me, and the trust they have in my ability to help them is what motivates me.
I now have a brand that truly represents the service I provide and dedication I put into my work. I hope you love it as much as I do.
